About a year ago, we published The Beatles In Color, which was a collection of Beatles songs covered by Black artists. This is The Beatles In Color: Part II, which is a collection of Beatles songs covered by Black women.
Like last time, these songs are transcendent, compelling, and often superior to the originals. And like last time, this mix could have gone on for hours. 1
Unlike last time, there is no essay exploring the connection between The Beatles and the Black artists who inspired them—but you can read one of those here.
And so, the revolver revolves and we once more gaze into the depths of the glass onion. 🪞💫
