They could have just named it “Mars,” but it seemed so accessible—and if resorts on Mars are one thing, they’re not “too accessible.” So, to keep an air of mystique about the place, the hotel was named after Ares, the Greek counterpart to Mars.
To keep an air about the place, the hotel was built inside of a googie-inspired geodesic ecodome. The building’s sweeping and uncluttered exteriors pop against the stark Martian landscapes and the atmosphere inside the space is akin to the atmosphere of space itself: ethereal, frictionless, beautiful.
Latin for ‘of the stars,’ Asterian Hotels also offer extraordinary access to famous celestial bodies—which is to say that this Martian mainstay boasts a lengthy list of impressively cultured celebrity clientele.
